Fellowship: ₹53000 per month (Consolidated pay)

Duration: Eight months

Eligibility

M.S. or Ph.D. in Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Control Systems, or related disciplines.

Candidates who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting award may also apply.

Demonstrated research experience in one or more of the following areas:

• • • Naval Architecture

    • Ocean Engineering

    • Control Theory

    • Marine Robotics

Expectations and Responsibilities

The Project Associate will lead advanced research activities related to:

• Experimental campaign on maneuvering of ships in waves in the wave basin at IIT Madras

• Development and implementation of algorithms for rendezvous of autonomous surface vehicles amidst obstacles.

The position is ideal for candidates interested in pursuing a research career in marine robotics and autonomous systems, and robotics.
