Fellowship: ₹37000 per month + HRA (as per ANRF/IIT Madras norms)
Duration: Initially for one year, extendable up to the project duration based on satisfactory performance.
B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech. in Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related disciplines.
Strong academic record and a valid GATE score (in any of the affiliated disciplines listed above)
Experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable:
Robotics and Autonomous Systems
Reinforcement Learning and Machine Learning
ROS2
Control Systems
Python
Simulation and Digital Twins
The selected candidate will contribute to the development of autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) technologies, including:
Development of simulation environments for marine robotic systems.
Implementation and evaluation of reinforcement learning algorithms.
Integration of sensors, actuators, and onboard computing systems.
Data collection and analysis from field experiments.
Software development using ROS2 and related robotics frameworks.
Participation in experimental trials involving autonomous marine vehicles.
The position offers extensive hands-on exposure to both software development and deployment on real robotic platforms.
